Seniors,

Now is the time to start seeking scholarships for your post-graduation studies, whether academic (college/university) or vocational (skills/tech training). They are coming out now and peak around late January.

Most college applications are due before March 1st--check the deadlines for the ones you are looking at for next year. Many of the same materials you use for scholarship will be the ones you use for your application. Remember: Make sure your stories on your essays, your application, your letters of recommendation all support the same themes. Talk with me if you're not sure what I mean.

Check out these sites for scholarship possibilities---and KEEP checking. They change at least twice a week.

Also, please talk with Darlene about Uniform Scholarship Notebooks, letters of recommendation, Senior Projects, Senior Presentations, Community Service hours, the WALA Scholarship, etc. If you would like a senior meeting, please let me know what times are best for you. I will also try to get one of the high school counselors, Marcus Sather, to come in for a visit.

Come to the Super Seniors Class Mondays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. for more assistance for successfully navigating the path to graduation! We meet in Darlene's classroom, in the PTHS Gael Stuart Building, room S-14.
