Today is Thursday, June 12, 2008.  Today is an Early Release Odd Day schedule with dismissal at 12:10. Tomorrow 8th grade Graduation begins at 8:10, dismissal for all students will be at 10:10.

  • There will be NO LATE BUS today or tomorrow.

  • Yearbooks will be for sale during both lunches today at the Student Services window.  We have 47 copies left which we’ll sell on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • There are lots of jackets, sweatshirts, shoes and other items in the Lost and Found box.  Stop by and see if any belong to you. 

  • NO BACKPACKS at school today or tomorrow!   Leave your backpacks at home.

Sports:

  • Anyone who has soccer gear that they’re no longer using can drop it off in the collection box in the office.  The equipment will go to a needy group of children in Venezuela.  Call Luis Quintana at (360) 765-3817 for more information about this project.
  • Attention Swimmers: The Port Townsend Barracudas Swim Team has a summer swim program.  Information is available in the office.

PARENTS ARE INVITED to the next Blue Heron Site Council meeting on Monday, June 9, at 2:30 in the office conference room.  If you have time to join this advisory council team, you can help Principal Decker in making decisions about school issues.  This is a way for parents, teachers, and students to voice their ideas and concerns and contribute to the Blue Heron community.  (click here for more)


 

COME MEET AND GREET PRINCIPAL DECKER  
Mr. Decker invites interested students, parents and staff to meet with him on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Blue Heron conference room from 7 - 8:30 pm.  These informal gatherings are an opportunity to have a conversation about a variety of topics and ask any questions about Blue Heron.
