Strategic Leadership
Promote our school vision, motto, and goals/objectives - and develop a means to reach them through collaboration and teamwork with all stakeholders (e.g. students, teachers, ancillary staff, parents, volunteers, and community business partnerships).
Instructional Leadership
Ensure quality instruction, model teaching practices, supervise curriculum, and ensure quality of teaching resources.
Managerial Leadership
Oversee the operations of the school (e.g. budget, schedule, facilities, safety and security, transportation, and technology).
Cultural Leadership
Tend to the symbolic resources of our school (e.g. traditions, climate, history)

Personal Background

*Married to Kathy Decker, marketing manager at The Port Townsend and Jefferson County Leader Newspaper.

*Father of two sons. Cameron, 21 years old, attends the University of New Mexico.  Quinton, 18 years old, is a senior at the Port Townsend High School and on the cross-country and track team.
*Hobbies include attending my sons track/XC meets, camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, shooting clay traps, golfing, family time, hanging out  with friends, playing cards, traveling, exercising, concerts, gardening, and dancing.
