Changes to the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program for the 2007-2008 school year:

All K-3 students who qualify for REDUCED lunch prices will receive

FREE BREAKFAST AND FREE LUNCH.

All 4-12 students who qualify for REDUCED lunch prices will receive

FREE BREAKFAST and will pay the reduced lunch fee.

Meal Prices for the 2007-2008 School Year:

Grant Street School (grades K-2):

Full-priced breakfast: $1.25

Reduced-price breakfast: FREE

Full-priced lunch: $2.00 Reduced-price lunch: FREE
Mt. View Elementary (grades 3-5):
Full-priced breakfast: $1.25 Reduced-price breakfast 3rd grade: FREE Reduced-price breakfast grades 4-5: $0.40
Full-priced lunch: $2.00 Reduced-price lunch 3rd grade: FREE Reduced-price lunch grades 4-5: $0.40
Secondary Schools (grades 6-12):
Full-priced breakfast: $1.50

Reduced-price breakfast: FREE

Full-priced lunch: $2.25 Reduced-price lunch: $0.40

Students in all grades are encouraged to pre-purchase meals using check or cash. Our school district uses a computerized cashiering system to track deposits and meals purchased through use of a personalized identification number (PIN) that ensures confidentiality.

Listed below are the income guidelines for free and reduced meals for the 2007-2008 school year. If you think you might qualify, please complete the application form sent home in your student's back-to-school materials (only one application is required per family), and return it to your child's school.

Families that qualified for free or reduced meals last year will AUTOMATICALLY keep that eligibility October 16, 2007, in order to allow time to have your current year application processed. YOU MUST RE-APPLY each school year to continue eligibility.
