COACHING APPLICANTS
Important Information
Please use this for informational purposes as well as for a checklist (should you be offered a coaching position with Port Townsend School District) to insure completion of necessary requirements for becoming a coach for Port Townsend School District. Candidates are not eligible to begin employment until the following items have been completed.
- RCW28A.400 requires all new school district employees to be fingerprinted for an FBI background check. Any offer of employment is conditional pending clearance of both Washington state and FBI determination of eligibility to work with children. Proof of fingerprinting must be provided to the Human Resources Department no later than five days from the beginning of the assignment.
- If you have been fingerprinted for certification or another education-related purpose within the past two years, please provide us with the following information
o Full Name
o Date of Birth
o Social Security Number
o Agency where fingerprinting occurred
o Agency which requested fingerprinting
- I-9 Employment Eligibility form. You must provide originals of acceptable documents (i.e. driver’s license, I.D. card, social security card, etc.) to establish identity.
- Verification of current first aid/CPR training OR verification of enrollment in a first aid/CPR class.

It is not possible to interview everyone who completes an application. Only finalists will be interviewed, and those interviewed will be notified regarding final selection.
