Maintenance & Operations Facilities and GroundsThe Port Townsend School District Maintenance staff is responsible for four school sites: Port Townsend High School, Blue Heron Middle School, Mountain View Elementary, and Grant Street Elementary. We care for approximately 69 acres of grounds and 275,000 square feet of buildings. We schedule facility usage in cooperation with each school building. You are welcome to download the facilities use form using the link below to request the use of any of our facilities. Download the Facilities Use Form as a (PDF) Pesticide Notification, Posting and Record Keeping RequirementsPort Townsend School District does not routinely apply pesticides on school grounds or in school facilities. We attempt to practice integrated pest management (IPM). However, pesticides may be used in cases where non-chemical remedies are ineffective. District staff or contracted professionally licensed pest control companies may be utilized in controlling pests. The district will comply with all legal requirements to notify staff and students before the application of pesticides. In compliance with legal requirements to notify employees, students and parents annually of pest control policies and methods, Port Townsend School District publishes the above statement on the district’s website.
