Instruction Procedure 2323P: Use of Community Resources

The following procedures will be used in the use of volunteers:

1. Volunteers are needed in school to meet the needs of students.
2. Principals/teachers/counselors are encouraged to make use of volunteers to assist in identified or specific learning and or administrative activities.
3. Building principals will provide in-service training to volunteers in district policies, rules, and regulations.
4. Teachers/counselors will provide in-service training to volunteers in the specific learning activities.
5. Volunteers shall serve under the jurisdiction of the building principal and shall be assigned to a particular teacher only with the permission of both the principal and teacher. The classroom teacher shall be responsible for the direction and performance of the volunteer in working with students.
