The Port Townsend Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended their regional competition in Bremerton at the Kitsap Conference Center on Tuesday. Twenty-one students participated in competitive events ranging from public speaking and job interview to general tests such as business procedures, marketing, and economics. Top five finishers included: Eva Weber - 1st Place Economics Eva Weber - 2nd Place Business Procedures Sadie Brayton & Alex Clement - 2nd Place Desktop Publishing Alex Clement - 3rd Place Computer Applications Lindsey Mayer - 3rd Place Job Interview Kelley Toyne & Sam Su'a - 4th Place Desktop Publishing A top five finish in any event qualifies the participant to take that test at the State Business Leadership Conference (SBL) in Spokane April 5-7, 2007. Last year, the team of Alisha Parker and Camron Spray placed first at the SBL in Seattle in the Multimedia Productions category, allowing them to represent Washington State at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennesee last July.
