Mock Trial 2004-05

The Port Townsend High School Mock Trial Team placed 3rd at the State Finals March 18-20 in Olympia just behind Fort Vancouver and University Prep, beating the intensely competitive field of teams including 4A contenders Franklin and Meridian High, as well as Seattle Prep and Tri-Cities Prep.  Click here for more information with photos on the State Finals!

The Port Townsend Mock Trial Team heads for the state competition after defeating the Central Kitsap High School team in a close match on Feb. 21 at the Jefferson County Courthouse. This will be the tenth year in a row that the PTHS team has gone to state.

Members of the state team are: Attorneys Emma Erickson, Grace Krabill, Devon Buckham, Maia Johnson, Freya Fennwood, and Matthew Loughlin-Presnal. Witnesses are Carson Leh, Caleb Dearing, Carli Rose, Nico Janssen, Robbie Sepler, Anna Koch, Ezra Moore, and Kelsey Steffen. Lindsay Scalf will be Bailiff at the State competition

The state competion takes place March 23 through 25 in the capital courtrooms in Olympia. The team is advised by PTHS drama and English teacher Chris Pierson and coached by Judge Mark Huth.
