Mock Trial Results 2008

The PTHS Prosectution settles in before defeating Mercer Island in the first round of the four-round competition this weekend. The Port Townsend High School Mock Trial Team finished 9th Place at the state competition, defeating Mercer Island and Lynden High Schools, and splitting rounds against Seattle Prep and Archbishop Murphy. Seattle Prep went on to compete in the Championship Round.

Port Townsend Students who received State-level awards for best attorney performance were Molly McNamara, Alex Lovett, and Samantha Brasier. McNamara received the second most "Best Attorney Performance" ballots out of 119 student-attorneys in the State Competition. PTHS students receiving Best Witness Nominations for the competition were Lovett, Robbie Sepler, and Jorden Castagna. Other stellar attorney and witness performances were achieved by Mackenzie Sepler, Josh Bryant, and Raechel Kelly.

Senior Robbie Sepler, competing as both a prosecuting attorney and the defendant in the competition, has participated in the State Finals for four years; Senior Attorneys Lovett, Brasier, and McNamara have all competed for three years. PTHS has earned 3rd, 7th, 10th, and 9th place in the State Championship since 2005.
