Dear 1961 Classmates:

2006 is an auspicious occasion marking the 45th anniversary of our graduation from PTHS as well as our 63rd birthdays. 

There are 3 different events to mark on your calendar:

• The annual PTHS Alumni Banquet Dinner & Dance takes place June 10, 2006 at the Elk's.   Let's those of us living near make an effort to attend.  Alumni must pay $20 in dues to attend the banquet.  If you aren't a member, please join by sending your dues to PTHS Alumni Association, 1433 9th St., Port Townsend, WA 98368.  Let Eleanor Stickney, the treasurer, know what year you graduated and what your maiden name was.  You will receive a copy of the newsletter with pictures and alumni info in the fall of 2006.

• This year's class cocktail party and picnic will be celebrated on August 11 and 12.  The Friday (Aug. 11) evening cocktail party will be hosted by Karen (Cuykendall) Jovag and Liz (Betty Hayes) O'Brien at 611 Redwood, off "F" Street from 5-9:00 PM.   Please bring your beverage of choice.  Pizza will be served.  Feel free to bring your favorite munchies if pizza doesn't appeal to you.

• Ruth (Stapf) Kvinsland will host the annual picnic on Saturday (Aug. 12) from 12:00 noon to ????? at her home at 2709 Gise, off Hastings Avenue.  Main dishes and salads will be provided.  You are asked to supply your beverage of choice, mixers, and an hors d'oeuvre.  Lew (Spike) Morello is in charge of dessert.

Please plan to join your classmates!  Come early and stay late!  Please encourage classmates you are in touch with who have been absent from past gatherings to attend this year.   In a city by the water, Redskins Class of '61 Spirit is alive and well.  See you all real soon!  Comments and suggestions are welcome.
