About the PTHS Alumni Association:

The first class to graduate from Port Townsend High School was in 1891.  Six years later, six young women from the class of 1897 met to organize the Port Townsend Alumni Association.  This organization has been meeting every year since then.  The PTHS Alumni Association is one of the oldest which meets yearly. 

Each year an Alumni Award is presented to an outstanding graduate on the basis of scholastic achievement and participation in school and community activities.  Several scholarships will be awarded to graduates whose parents or grandparents who were also PTHS Alumni.

The Alumni Association sponsors a golf tournament to raise funds for scholarships, enters a decorated car in the local Rhododendron Parade and occupies a booth at the Jefferson County Fair where local alumni artists have contributed their art work to be raffled.  A special invitation is issued to all Port Townsend High School Alumni to join any of these activities.  Your support will be appreciated.

Dues for the Association are $20.00 (married alumni couples are $30).  Half of this amount goes to scholarship awards and the other half is used to keep the organization afloat.  Send dues or inquires to:

New Alumni Grads:

The first five years after your graduation, you will not have to pay Alumni dues. If you plan to come to the Alumni dinner and dance, it will be the cost of the dinner only.

You must buy dinner tickets from the Alumni board before the cut off date as tickets are not sold at the door. When your five-year reunion comes up, and you want to come to the dinner and dance, you will be required to purchase dinner tickets and pay the dues.

Dues go for the scholarships the Alumni Association provides for PTHS graduates. You will not receive a reminder letter from the Alumni unless your dues are paid, so most information you may be looking for will be posted on our Alumni link through the Port Townsend School District web page.

Below are details for the 2008 Banquet:

Annual Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at the Elk's. Tickets must be purchased by June 7th, Click here for an order form.

• Cocktail hour - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
• Dinner - 6:30 with meeting following
• Dance begins at 8:30 p.m. Plan to donate $5 for the cost of music.
• Golf tournament will be June 14th in the morning. For more information call the PT Golf Club at 360.385.4547.
