GENERAL INFORMATION


US Service Academy Information Session – Tuesday, May 28, 10 am Conference Room.  Interested in university study at WestPoint,  US Naval Academy, US Air Force Academy? The US Naval Academy Liaison, Larry Ryan, Captain USN Retired,  will be here to discuss the application  & appointment process for these universities.  The admission process begins early - so be sure to attend this meeting if you are interested in this post high school opportunity. Cap. Ryan will be available for questions during the lunches. Teacher permission is required to attend during class time.  More information is available in the Counseling Office.

WestSound Tech (Bremerton) summer program - earn .5 credit while learning vocational skills in this public school. Classes begin on June 24 and end July 12  More information in the Counseling Office.

Summer Program at the North Olympic Skills Center - earn .5 credit in Port Angeles this summer.  Several vocational programs are offered.  Applications and more information is available in the Counseling Office.

Music Scholarship - Trinity Methodist Church is offering the Jean Stanks Memorial Music Scholarship to help fund music lessons, instrument rental/purchase, music camps or other activities. This scholarship is open to all grades. The deadline for application is June 1. Applications and information is available in the Counseling office.

We need a videographer for PTHS graduation on June 7th and for Chimacum graduation on June 8th. Please contact Jan in the Main Office if you know of anyone who would be interested in filming and selling the DVDs for both schools.

Sign up with Jan for Marching Partners for graduation. If you don’t sign up by May 31, you will be assigned a partner.

Remember that a Discover Pass is now required for all cars entering Fort Worden and this includes the PTHS graduation for graduates, staff and guests. You can get an annual pass for $30 or a day pass for $10 at the Fort Worden office, or online.
SCHOLARSHIPS - See all the current scholarships here.
Seniors there are many scholarships posted on the PTHS website. Please check them out and apply as the deadlines for many are fast approaching. There are a number available including ones for vocal music, art, teaching, environmental interests and many more.

Skyler Coppenrath- Triple Jump
Patricia Reeves- High Jump
Jewel Johnson- 100 meters and 200 meters
Rebecca Stewart- Triple Jump and 300 I. Hurdles

Skyler won the Boys Triple Jump at Tri-Districts
Rebecca won the Girls Triple Jump at Tri-Districts
