H-1. WRITE:
A 3-paragraph biography of Queen Elizabeth I. Include details about her father, her siblings, how and when she became queen, how long she was queen, what was happening in the world during her reign, how she influenced the arts.
2. WRITE:
Shakespeare is considered a “Man of the Theater.” Write about the many ways he worked in the world of Elizabethan theater.
3. WRITE:
Shakespeare’s Globe Theater was built to reflect the Elizabethan World picture. Write about the design of the theater and how elements of the theater represented the way the English pictured the structure of the world at the time.
Include illustrations of both.
4. WRITE:
Choose at least three of the following words or phrases pertaining to the Elizabethan stage and write three sentences of explanation for each.

Study the picture at your table. Record the Characters, Actions, Settings and Themes you see and imagine in the picture. Write a story inspired by those words and pictures that might have become a play performed at The Globe Theater.
Writing tips:
Make the paragraph the unit of composition Use the active voice.
Put the statements in positive form. Use definite, specific, concrete language.
Omit needless words. Avoid a succession of loose sentences.
Express coordinate ideas in similar form. Keep related words together.
In summaries, keep to one tense. Place the emphatic words of a sentence at the end.
