Announcements for Summer and Fall 2008

Your current transcript and credit status will be mailed home to you this summer. Please schedule an appointment with you counselor if you have any questions or concerns about your progress towards graduation.

WASL results will be mailed home in June. Retesting will be available in August. Parents need to register their students to take advantage of this testing opportunity.

National College Fair – Washington State Trade and Convention Center Seattle - Sunday September 28, 12:00 – 4:00
Monday September 29, 9:00 – 12:00
An opportunity to meet with representatives of over 200 colleges and universities. There are also several workshops available for parents and students on such topics as choosing a college, the selection process, and financial aid. PSAT Test - the Preliminary SAT will be administered at PTHS on Wednesday Oct 15. This test provides practice in taken the SAT test and gives students insights into how they can improve their test-taking skills. The test is also the 11th grade qualifying test for National Merit Scholarships. Registration and payment information will be made available to all students.

SENIORS - Admissions Deadlines - Reminder! Many universities have application deadlines in December and January. Summer is an excellent time to visit schools, attend college fairs, and determine the schools to which you will apply. Please see plan an appointment with your counselor if you need any assistance!
