About this Website

Many people ask about the high school web page. Here is the inside scoop.

Things start up very early at the high school. By 6 a.m. I'm updating the sports news and checking events for the daily bulletin that I have online by 8:30. After the bulletin is posted I have to fit in website work between my other duties as Principal's Secretary, Athletic Secretary and Vocational Secretary. That does not leave much time!

Our goal with the website is to make it the most useful, user-friendly, site possible. It's a one-stop shopping experience for all the information and news you may want. On this site you will find everything you will need to help you find someone, see what is going on with sports, drama, meetings, current classes, schedules, links to individual teacher web pages and much, much more. If you do not see what you are looking for, need help finding something, or have a suggestion please let me know.

Something new we did for the spring musical auditions for Gypsy was posting the audition tracks on our Drama page, under Activities. This been very helpful for those students auditioning for the play. We also have information and pictures from plays of the past years.

Sports information is just a click away with downloadable sports forms, rosters, maps and links to the WIAA and West Central District III. Sports results are posted as soon as I receive them from the coaches.

The Alumni link is something dear to my heart as I am a PTHS graduate. Classes can have their information posted on reunions, past and future, along with memories through photos, of those years from the past at our schools in Port Townsend. Check out the Class of 1968.

Take a look at the video from our 2008 United Nations Simulation. This was a production of the PTHS Video Production class in conjunction with PTTV.

These are just a few of the cool things about the PTHS website. I will be updating this page, so please check back!

	I use Dreamwever and Photoshop to do most of the content editing and picture manipulation. My workstation is an Apple G5 PPC tower. For the photos you see (I love photos!!), I use a digital Canon EOS Rebel and 20D for the planned photo shoots I do, but usually have the Canon PowerShot ELPH nearby for those wonderful moments that suddenly scream out for a picture.
The web site is served on one of our district's Apple XServers running Apache.
