The OPEPO program consists of 40-50 learners, grades one through six, in a "one-room school" setting housed on the Mountain View Elementary campus in Port Townsend, WA. One teacher/facilitator focuses on Literacy, while the other focuses on Math and Science. They collaborate on Inquiry, the social studies component of the program. OPEPO learners have access to all extra- and co-curricular activities.

Parents support OPEPO in ways beyond the usual expectations. Throughout the year, parents work in the classroom, attend monthly meetings, provide enrichment activities, and raise funds for trips and projects.
